I have googled for an answer but I could not find any solution. Is there a way to switch off the Semantic Analysis in Kdevelop?
I know I can add the include directories in the configuration to get rid of some warnings but that's not enough (and it even doesn't always work). I don't need a Semantic analysis, and the pop up notices are really very annoying. For one thing, I sometimes write pseudo code inside my code, so it's not correct C++, just temporary. It's annoying to get these popups when my mouse hovers over it. If this is not an option yet, it should be in future releases, please. |

Oh wow, thank you so much! I never looked there, but now I did and that certainly fixed it! Thanks, that really helped me a lot. It's so much better without those warnings. Cheers, Machiel |

OK, which plug-in do I need to disable? There are many and some are useful. I turned off all that mention C/C++ to no avail.
I'm editing a text file in "Normal" mode, but Kate/Kdevelop (V5.2.1 on Kubuntu 18.4L LTS, up to date patches) insists that it is a C-file and plasters the screen with tons of useless semantic analysis error pop-up messages. As raphaelra said, very annoying. |

I'm using KDevelop 5.6.2 on Manjaro Stable for development in OpenFOAM and disabling Clang-Tidy Support in Settings> Configure KDevelop> Plugins> Analyzers did the trick. It's at the top of the window. |
