External terminal on Windows

Mon Jul 06, 2020 2:13 am
Hello,
I'm still learning C++ and i'm running Kdevelop Version 5.5.2 on windows 7. I have been trying to use <Iostreams>'s std::cin, and even though i enable "use external terminal", i still cannot figure out how to use window's terminal. If there are other terminals useable, please i'm opened to suggestions.
Thanks for reading

Sorry, I don't think we support cmd on Windows, and Konsole isn't ported. If you really need stdin, just run your application from cmd by hand.

Also what the hell, I can't write "cmd dot exe" in a forum post because then cloudflare blocks me? This is quite a low level of trust for infrastructure ...

I'm working on the KDevelop IDE.

If you are motivated to contribute to KDevelop on Windows, you are very welcome! Unfortunately, there is quite a shortage of developers on this front -- most use Linux themselves.
