Multi-monitor Support

Sun Feb 21, 2021 8:01 pm
Is there any sort of multi-monitor support for KDevelop? Currently I have a vertical split-view with two documents, but everything is on one monitor. The experience is very cramped. I am used to IntelliJ which has multi-monitor support, but I don't like how they handled it either (torn off floating windows are treated as second class citizens from the primary window).

Ultimately I want to be able to work on one primary document at a time while having one or two others open for reference. Since this is C++ (and not Java) it might make sense to say I am going to edit two primary documents (the header file and the source file) and have a couple others open just for reference. Another potential configuration is to have all the tool windows (outline, project view, class view, compiler output etc.) all on a separate monitor.

I'd be interested in any thoughts, developments, plans, or threads that delve into this deeper.

Thank you.
