Hello,

I've embarked on a Hello World tutorial (from scratch) with KDevelop as my first exercise with the IDE. Naturally, not having to write any code made the compilation and linking error free. But in trying to analyze the file with Cppcheck, I received the following message:

Code: Select all
> /usr/bin/cppcheck --xml-version=2 -i /home/baqwas/projects/Test/build/CMakeFiles /home/baqwas/projects/Test/main.c
/usr/bin/cppcheck: error while loading shared libraries: libtinyxml2.so.6: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Elapsed time: 0.046 s.
*** Failure: Exit code 127 ***

My platform is:

Code: Select all
libtinyxml2-8 installed
KDevelop v5.6.2
Ubuntu 21.10

I understand that Cppcheck is seeking libtinyxml2-6 but hasn't that been superseded two releases ago? Is going retro my only workaround? I'm at the starting block with respect to KDevelop. I reviewed the Configure Cppcheck Settings under Analyzers in Settings but couldn't see any override parameter. As a newbie, I would appreciate some guidance sincerely. Thanks.

Kind regards.
