Python debugger (kdevpython) not found

When I set a breakpoint in my Python3 script and then hover my mouse over a variable, the pop-up shows this message:
*** NameError: name '__kdevpython_debugger_utils' is not defined


What's wrong and how can I make the Python debugger work in KDevelop?
