in older versions of KDevelop I could partly complete my term with pressing tab by the suggestions of the autocompletion. Enter selected the complete term.
This was really a nice feature, as it was possible to tab very fast though until the term was complete.
The current behavior is that tab and return have the same action (selecting the complete term). As there are sometimes really many suggestions, this really hurts the workflow.

Sadly I have no idea how this feature is called, so searching for a solution was not successfully. Maybe somebody knows that the name of this feature is or how to activate it again.

eg on given autocomplete suggestions:

playlist_item_t
playlist_t
playlist_add_item(...)
play_game(...)


with the typed input:

Code: Select all

play

tab did complete it to:

Code: Select all

playlist_

now tab just selects (same as return):

Code: Select all

playlist_item_t
