in KDE4's kdevelop version 3.9.91 (from ubuntu jaunty), I cannot get a terminal tool, the way KDE3's kdevelop and kate had/have one.

I failed finding anything in google or with the forum search, is kdevelop supposed to have such a nice terminal, or is that not implemented yet or did I just not find it?

konsole is in kdebase

so if you install kdebase you will got konsole.

kdevelop does not have a terminal tool, it simple has a "portal" to the standard KDE tool konsole. when you click somewhere, kdevelop calls konsole and embedded the window in itself.
