Makefile project in Kdevelop4

Thu Nov 26, 2009 8:11 am
Hi
According to this page Kdevelop4 is able to have projects with custom makefiles. When I want to create a project there is only cmake projects with or without GUI. Am I missing something? I'm using the latest beta.
Thanks for any hints.

Yes, you're correct. KDevelop4 can handle custom makefiles. Just load it from Projects menu item and import the makefile. But it doesn't support like autotools. There is a plugin for it but no one afaik is currently working on it. Is there a way you can use CMake?

Thanks. I don't know if i could write a CMake replacement. What I am using is the Geant4 framework from CERN (http://geant4.web.cern.ch/geant4/). It seems they don't use autotools but just plain GNUmakefiles which are splitted in several files.
