Disable Kate 1024 char / line limit

Is there a way to disable Kate's (new) 1024 characters per line limit? I have a few documents with longer lines and I don't like it breaking (wrapping) them :-\

That's the version:

ii kate 4:4.8.1-0ubuntu1~oneiric1~ppa1 K Advanced Text Editor
ii kate-data 4:4.8.1-0ubuntu1~oneiric1~ppa1 shared data files for kate
ii katepart 4:4.8.1-0ubuntu1~oneiric1~ppa1 kate KPart

According to bug 292703, you can disable this auto-wrap if you change the line length limit to zero in Settings | Configure Kate | Open/Save.
