Hello, I don't like the default file chooser dialog (the one that pops up when you upload a file to, say, imgur), nor the GTK one. The only alternative I know of is called the Qt file chooser, I think, but from what I understand, it's part of KDE.
I would like to use KDE's file chooser in Firefox. However, I don't have the it installed, and I can't find it in my repository. My question: what is the name of the package, and where can I download the source code of it? So not the package of the entire KDE (because I'm not interested in that), but only the file chooser. Thanks in advance. |

there's an ancillary package that provides it but it is not available in all distros's and I don't know how difficult it is to self-compile
in Kubuntu it was called firefox-kde-support (no longer provided/supported) and in openSuse its mozilla-kde4-integration here's the code http://gitorious.org/firefox-kde-opensuse/ there's a thread somewhere here about it you should check in your repos or ask in you disteo's forum |

I have checked, and it is not available for my OS.
I don't get it, though. Isn't the idea of a Software Bundle to just, you know, bundle software? Why would you make it so that the individual packages can only be downloaded when you also download the rest of the bundle? |

Software bundling is the responsibility of the distribution and it's packagers, note: this particular sw is not part of KDE. Personally I think this should be a built in option within FF as it is in Opera
