kate does not save & apply changes made in section «Fonts & colours». Kate uses only system settings for type of font and colour scheme. Is it normal behaviour or not? If it is not how I can apply different than system's colours and fonts?
kde v. 4.8.4 and 4.9

Sorry, but I could not reproduce this behaviour.
I changed the "text selection colour" to test this - and it applied fine. Is there any setting in particular which is not sticking?

Thank you for your reply. May be this problem is a result of break shutdown and mistakes in configuration files of Kate. Could I ask you upload configuration files (I replace my files).
If I uderstand right there is no ( I tried to change selection colour too). I try make changes and create new schema and then import it with error http://i41.fastpic.ru/big/2012/0804/6c/ ... e89d6c.png |

That error looks more like a warning.
Could you try to reproduce under a new user account first, to see if this is related to configuration files?

Thank you very much. I add new user and copy config files (kate*) from ~NEW/.kde/share/config/ to my ~OLD/.kde/share/config/ and now any changes saved a applied.
Whats the reason of problem?

Not sure unfortunately, likely configuration file corruption.

I think this is a complicated problem: there are options sleep and hibernate in a kickoff menu in new user's account but in present account there are no options sleep and hibernate. How fix this?

Is KDE Power Management enabled under the original user?
It is a requirement to have KDE Power Management enabled to use Sleep or Hibernate. This can be toggled in System Settings > Startup & Shutdown > Service Manager. Check the "Startup Services" area.
