Konqueror is a part (in my knowledge) of a global concept which represent the best future for IT&C global environment (desktop, screen, GUI, ...) administration. Unfortunately this really is very little known and little understood in depth. Much to say about it....

For this topic I need help for a problem about right button of mouse menuentry for a file - "Preview in embedded advanced text editor". In Konqueror 4.4.5 I can edit .html or .txt with this option. In version 4.8.5. I can't do this. I can just view content. Is crucial, for me :) , to can edit html and txt files (or more formats) just in place.

Ideally, if you can click on a file and open it for editing in a ... mini-tab. One obtained by splitting of the current tab.

This sounds like a bit of tidying up; Preview should mean just that, not edit.

I use File associations to ensure that the editing programs I want to use appear when I right click - Kate for .txt and .css files and Bluefish for .html files.

With Bluefish I open the file in Konqueror and then move to another desktop so that I can view the file in Konqueror and edit it elsewhere.
