GoldenDict have a really nice feature that do not work for me on KDE apps: select a word from any application, press Ctrl-C-C (hold Ctrl and press C twice on sequence) and a pop-up will appear with the definition for the selected word on all available dictionaries.

This works perfectly well on Apache OpenOffice, Firefox, Chromium... but do NOT work if I select a word from konqueror, rekonq, Calligra nor any other KDE app. Considering that GoldenDict is a Qt app, the fact that this pop-up only works for non KDE apps is really puzzling.

Any idea? I have KDE SC 4.8.5 on openSUSE 12.2, 64 bits.

Interesting, just loaded it and tested with Rekonq, Kate and Konqueror and it works fine for me in all 3, heck it even works in my notes widget

is ctrl+c working ok in KDE apps? does ctrl+c populate the clipboard?

ps - cool app

quick q - when it does work for you do the Wiki pics display?

solved - up'ed to v1.02 in the office:goldendict repo instead of the standard repo (in openSUSE)

Yes. Ctrl-C from konqueror, Words or kwrite goes to the clipboard. In fact, I can copy paste from, say, konqueror to the main goldendict window without problems: it's just the Ctrl-C-C that do not work.

I just updated to goldendict 1.0.2 too but nothing changed.

I changed it for Ctrl-C-V and now it works! I tried other combinations, but it seems it needs to start with Ctrl-C to copy to the clipboard. There are several combinations that do not work, like Ctrl-C-< or Ctrl-C-Down.

I'll try the new user later (1am now...)
