KDE Wacom GUI mapping bug

Sun May 12, 2013 5:24 pm
Hi,

I have Kubuntu 12.04 KDE 4.10 with Wacom GUI. The UI is not mapping properly Button 2 and WheelUp. Mapping Button 2 is not working. When I press Button 2 I get the function that I have mapped for Ring Down. Mapping Ring Up is not working. When I press Ring Up I get the function that I have mapped for Button 3.

I have added a rule: sudo wget -O /etc/udev/rules.d/libwacomfix.rules https://github.com/MagicGroup/MagicSpec ... acom.rules BUT that didn't help.

I was able to map buttons the way I want using xsetwacom so I assume the problem lies in Wacom GUI. Also I don't remember having this problem in Linux Mint KDE 14.

I want to have the GUI working because I need to be able to switch fast between profiles.

I have posted a support request also here https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/228653 but maybe I will get better help from KDE forums since this supposingly is KDE problem.

Any ideas?

I just got answer in lauchpad.net by Alexander Maret-Huskinson:

"
Could you please try the latest version of the Wacom KCM from my PPA: https://launchpad.net/~maret/+archive/wacom

$ sudo apt-add-repository ppa:maret/wacom
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
"

This solved my issue!
