I have been using Basket Note Pads with Kubuntu 12.xx. A few of my important notes I protected with a simple password.
Last night upgraded my system to Kubuntu 13.10. Now, my password for Basket Note Pads no longer works and all my data is locked.
Is the a solution for this.

Restoring from backup does not work.

if you run basket from command line do you get any errors ? any errors in ~/.xsession-errors ?

Know anyone running 12.xx you can access ?

I would suggest getting a copy of Kubuntu 12.xx and accessing the files from there, either booting from a livecd, running the livecd in VirtualBox or installing it in Vbox
