Hi,

I'm pretty sure there used to be a button/menu to open an external konsole terminal, with the path automatically set to the one of the currently open file.
I cannot find it anymore on my current installation.

Is there any package I might be missing? Or some plugin I have to manually install?

And I do not mean the built-in terminal, which already works. Although I also cannot find the button for it in "settings->configure toolbar"!!!

The default shortcuts used to be:
F4 for the built-in terminal
shift+F4 for the external terminal

I tried starting a guest session to make sure it's not a user config issue, but same problem: no action to open an external konsole available, even after enabling all plugins and extensions.

System info:
===========
Kubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
Kate Version 3.13.3
Using KDE Development Platform 4.13.3

you sure you're not mis-remembering as shift+F4 to open an external Konsole window is a Dolphin capability?

or maybe it was part of "external tools" which was removed in 4.8 because of lack of a maintainer http://kate-editor.org/2011/08/09/maint ... ls-plugin/

Yes, I did mis-remember it as the one from Dolphin. Realized it the next day when using Dolphin. :<
Sorry for the late feedback.

(It would still be a nice thing to have.)
