Hi KDE team,

This is my first post on this forum. I just installed from scratch Mint 17 (KDE) 64 bits for the previous Mint 13 (KDE) 64 bits. And..

I am fighting to get ibus-anthy to input japanese caracters into any mozilla apps to no avail. It works great with KDE apps (search bar in start menu or Kate for instance).

I followed what was in this post: viewtopic.php?f=22&t=120671 ... no results.

I installed-uninstalled scim-anthy early in the troubleshooting process. This may have changed somthing.

Any idea on what could be my next investigation step?

I found identified the problem! My mistake indeed.

I added, in the SCIM installation process, an xinit config step that was settings variables and preventing ibus normal functionning.
