I'm on Arch Linux; KDE 5.3; KDE frameworks 5.10.
KDE Wallet Manager appears to be completely broken for me. I originally skipped the setup for KDE Wallet as I did not have a GPG key, but I was able to generate a GPG key afterwards. I'm pretty sure I do currently have a GPG key. I am not sure what caused it, but KDE Wallet Manager is, in its current state, completely unusable. Here's what appears when I attempt to open KWalletManager: The program freezes, and must be terminated to close. Now, if I didn't rely on KDE Wallet in some way, this wouldn't be an issue. Honestly, I'd rather not rely on it. However, my Wi-Fi password seems to have been tied to KDE Wallet, so when the network applet in the taskbar tries to auto-connect to a remembered network, I am greeted with "waiting for authorization" until it times out. To connect, I have to go into settings, delete the network I wanted to connect to, and then connect. I must do this every time I connect to a previously remembered network. I know this Wi-Fi issue has something to do with KDE Wallet: When I uninstall kde-applications, KDE Wallet will properly integrate with my Wi-Fi password. Upon startup, it asks me for my KDE Wallet password and connects upon entering said password. (I'd honestly prefer to remove my KDE Wallet password, but hey, at least it works as intended in that state.) If I install kde-applications (as I currently have), upon startup, a brief flash of a KDE Wallet screen appears, and my previously-mentioned issue with the "authorization" occurs. So, basically, my question: Can I reset KDE Wallet Manager in some way that will give me the fresh set-up prompt and maybe fix this issue? Can I do something else to fix this issue? Something to maybe circumvent KDE Wallet altogether and let me auto-connect to Wi-Fi? |
