Error while building digikam

Mon Mar 14, 2016 8:39 am
I tried running this code: ~/digikam-sc/build/extra-cmake-modules/modules$ cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=debugfull -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=`kde4-config --prefix` ..

I'm receiving this error:
CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:99 (install):
install FILES given directory
"/home/swati/digikam-sc/build/extra-cmake-modules/modules/CMakeFiles" to install.

Please help.

I have been able to build that. I found the code here: git clone git://anongit.kde.org/extra-cmake-modules There were dependencies on Sphinx (which requires PIP) and Python.h which required installing python-dev.

I'm almost there. I'm stuck at:

I have no idea what "core" is. I installed kipi-plugins. No difference. I'm unable to build kipi-plugins from source as it seems to require everything in WebKit. The webkit development packages have been installed.

All in all, building DigiKam from source on Linux seems very difficult.
