I was reading this:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/281092/why-is-canonical-choosing-qt-over-gtk-for-unitys-next-generation And i would like to know why there's all that talk about dconf and if it is already supported by KDE apps?? Can anyone explain (no need to be technical) Thanks |

Dconf is GNOME's centralized settings store (similar to Windows' registry), that can be inspected/modified with the command "dconf-editor".
And no, KDE applications do not use dconf, they use standard text based config files, each application its own. |

Nice explanation!!!
thanks. I suppose KDE's approach is superior since it is more "open"/simple |
