KDE Apps and Dconf

Wed Sep 28, 2016 2:31 pm
I was reading this:

http://askubuntu.com/questions/281092/why-is-canonical-choosing-qt-over-gtk-for-unitys-next-generation

And i would like to know why there's all that talk about dconf and if it is already supported by KDE apps??

Can anyone explain (no need to be technical)

Thanks

Dconf is GNOME's centralized settings store (similar to Windows' registry), that can be inspected/modified with the command "dconf-editor".

And no, KDE applications do not use dconf, they use standard text based config files, each application its own.

Nice explanation!!! :D

thanks.

I suppose KDE's approach is superior since it is more "open"/simple
