Kst segfaults when trying to import netCDF data

I have kst-2.0.8 installed (qt5). When I try to import a netCDF data file, I get the following:
Code: Select all
> kst2
libpng error: IDAT: invalid distance too far back
Segmentatiefout (geheugendump gemaakt)
My impression is that it tries to open the file as a png file. What might be wrong with my installation?
