touchpad options disabled

Thu Oct 12, 2017 6:48 pm
Hi,

I just recently upgraded from Debian 8.8 to 9.2, both with KDE, but now, among other issues, there is no configuration options for the touchpad. As per many posts in several forums I have installed/uninstalled kde-config-touchpad, copied the 50-synaptics.conf into /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d, installed/uninstalled xserver-xorg-input-synaptics...

Perhaps in a future upgrade this problem will be solved, but, meanwhile, is a problem to have the horizontal scrolling with two fingers, and there is just no way to disable it, if someone can help me in what information to post so I can fix this I'll really appreciate it,

thanks in advance,

Gerardo

hi again,

well, at least the horizontal scrolling can be fixed with the modification recommended in
https://unix.stackexchange.com/question ... ing/390714

$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf
Section "InputClass"
Identifier "libinput touchpad catchall"
MatchIsTouchpad "on"
MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
Driver "libinput"
Option "HorizontalScrolling" "false"
EndSection

Thou, I think, it would be a good thing to fix this problem (most configuration options for the touchpad are inhabilitated),

thanks again
