hi, I just recently upgraded from Debian 8.8 to 9.2, in both cases with KDE - in 8.8 KDE worked just fine, but now there are a couple of issues that I can't resolve, in this post I would like to ask for help with the language for the keyboard, witch keeps on falling back to english (it's in spanish and english), this is independently of the "switching policy" setting, in any of the 4 options it gives (global, desktop, application, window), whenever I change the application I'm working with, the language changes to english...

I did something at the installation which I don't know if it's part of this problem: the original language for the system - and the keyboard - is english, and when I added spanish to the keyboard, I couldn't write on some of the KDE dialog windows, so I went for the solution from:

sudo apt purge ibus
sudo apt install fcitx
sudo dpkg-reconfigure fcitx
sudo reboot

fcitx was already installed, but it worked, I was able to use the keyboard everywhere,
