Hi there,

the subject saysit all, I want to display the content of a file inside a passive popup
with kdialog. For example: kdialog --passivepopup /var/log/syslog 5.

Can this be done and how?

Thanks
JoSh

Try this:

Code: Select all
kdialog --passivepopup "`cat /var/log/syslog | tr 'n' ' '`" 5

This will also replace the new lines with a space.

Cheers, m
