Browser KDE

Thu Oct 08, 2020 1:01 pm
Hi, I'm using Falkon and I like it, light and functional, these days I heard about konqueror, so I ask you if it's still supported or if it's better to continue on Falkon. A greeting.

you should go for Falkon, I don't know if Konqueror is still actively developed.

Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ...

@Mamarok
Hi there, do you have any information about Falkon's status, considering it's been a year since the last update? I contacted the dev, but no reply.

Not more than what can be found via the various links on the website. There appear to be several active branches: https://phabricator.kde.org/source/falk ... es/master/

Thanks! You're right. The main engine QtWebEngine is updated regularly so the browser is safe to use! I love Falkon very much (typing from it now) so I hope new version will come soon with even more features. :)
