I'm not exactly certain what happened, but the other day I sat down to my computer and there were 284 sticky notes created all with the same content. Obviously something had pasted a lot of times on my desktop.
Every time I login to KDE a few more of the sticky notes appear on my desktop and I delete them. I have searched around trying to figure out how to delete them all to no avail, so I am posting here to see if someone can explain how to remove all of these sticky notes. Only slightly annoying. Thanks... |

What application are these notes made with? There is usually a header, else a right click on it should show the application, that should allow you to go to the settings there and correct the issue.
Please keep in mind that we can't guess your settings, nor your distribution, nor your exact Plasma version or applications you use, unless you give us a hint (considered minimal information, btw) FWIW: you don't log into KDE, you log into Plasma, KDE is the community, the people who make the software.

FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

Sticky Note 2.0 -- Desktop sticky note. This is a widget for Plasma. I am not finding anything in the configuration options which allows removing all notes, or indicating where they are stored to remove the underlying notes.

it is a widget, so you most likely should be able to find it in the file ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
You can edit that file and remove the sticky note references in it with kate. look for any entrance referring to "org.kde.plasma.notes" The entrances in that file are grouped by containments, so you can simply remove every one of those containments referring to notes. As for why you have these notes appearing: no idea, you must have configured something to launch it, maybe a script you started running recently?
