in Ark 20.12.2 I select "folder" to extract, right click and select /my/destination/path/ and result is
/my/destination/path/archive/sub1/sub2/sub3/folder instead of: /my/destination/path/folder When i do it via Extract button, extraction has options: Extraction into subfolder Preserve paths when extracting i have tried both, but none achieve what i have described. So how to make this archiver extract mine selected folder without its parent empty folders please? I was used that archivers extract to /my/destination/path/folder by default but no, this one makes trouble ![]()

This is not Arks fault, but the way the package was made in the first place. Complain to the package author.
Running Kubuntu 22.10 with Plasma 5.26.3, Frameworks 5.100.0, Qt 5.15.6, kernel 5.19.0-23 on Ryzen 5 4600H, AMD Renoir, X11
FWIW: it's always useful to state the exact Plasma version (+ distribution) when asking questions, makes it easier to help ... |

I think that it is Ark fault, because no matter how the archive was created, i should be able to extract selected parts from the archive. Like this: In Arch browse to some sub-directory of the archive and extract just this one without Ark creating that redundant path as i have described. Or there should be checkbox which i need to check so Ark retain parent directories structure of the archive should i want it that way.
