This is weird to explain, so bear with me.
Since upgrading from Kubuntu 21.10 to 22.04 the behavior of several applications pinned to the Icons only Task Manager are no longer the same. A few apps no longer use their pinned icon as the active icon when launched; instead displaying an additional icon. The original pinned icon still has a working right-click Actions menu that matches the application and will also display any status indicators (such as unread message count in Evolution). However, only the new icon can be used to manage active windows, it doesn't contain the correct right-click Actions menu, and frequently uses an icon that doesn't match the one I have assigned to the application. This behavior isn't across all applications, but those impacted consistently do not work as they did previously. Of my 11 pinned apps; only Firefox, Brave and Evolution have this problem. I tried re-pinning the application, but the behavior of the new pin isn't correct. I have not tried recreating the widget itself for fear of loosing the old pins, which most importantly work for providing status indicators; but I'll give that a try after I get a clean backup. Anyone else having this issue? Thanks!
