hey folks!
I really like editing in kate. everything seems perfect, except, that it would be nice if i could switch from editing to the included terminal without the mouse... on the net i found a request for the same thing (http://osdir.com/ml/kde.devel.kwrite/20 ... 00229.html), but no solution. is there one that you know of)? cheers [edit: i am using kate 2.5.10 (KDE 3.5.10) under a gnome-ubuntu (if that makes any sense)]

This is also present under KDE 4.2.60 ( to be KDE 4.3 ). Due to the way the terminal emulator works I do not know if this functionality is possible.
You could file a feature request, but since KDE 3 will no longer be having any more feature releases, only stable bug fix releases ( and even that is probably over now ) you would need to move to KDE 4 once this has been implemented to use it.

For the KDE4 version of Kate, there's a "Focus Terminal" shortcut.
The focus also switches when you show/hide the terminal. This works in Kate for KDE3 - just set a shortcut for "Show Terminal". However, I can't find the "Focus Terminal" shortcut in the older version.
