installing flash/java

Wed Feb 04, 2009 2:31 pm
I am trying to figure out how to make flash/java work on this computer as my wife would like to play on pogo (takes flash) and then I go to some sites that require flash. How do I d/l those for this computer? Im not sure which KDE im using...probably the most recent one or whatever i can get from the download page...not sure how to check.

Oh I did help/about kde, i think i have 3.5.10. Is there a better version that has flash/java already or it works on? I found a few pages that told me how to get flash on...but i got the files and went to run the commands and it said that its not recognized or whatever. A program that would set flash/java up automatically would be nice lol. Or at least something to tell me how to make it work.

Installing flash and java for linux is not KDE-specific. It is more distribution specific. Which distribution are you using? You should have a look at their forums, wikis, ...

At konsole (terminal), type lsb_release -a or cat /etc/lsb-release to find out your distro.
