In my attempt at switching from Windows to KDE 4 I have come across many obstacles that have helped me to learn how to use Linux. Most of these obstacles I have found solutions with minimal effort thanks to the awesome KDE community. However, I do have a few issues that I can't resolve, and I'm hoping that some of you have come across them as well.
1. Is there a easy way to use my iPod touch with KDE 4. Everything I've read indicated that the iPod touch has not been confirmed to work easily with KDE as of yet. If you have your iPod touch working in KDE, would you pointing to a resource to help with this?

2. The best solutions I have found for transferrring Outlook .pst files into Evolution is to first import them into Thunderbird and then export them to a different format that can then be imported into Evolution. Is that about right?

3. Do most of you use KDE Office? I'm really not that particular about the office suite I use, but one thing I am wondering is what is the most convenient way to convert Office 2007 documents to be used in whichever office suite I choose in KDE.

That enough for now. Thanks for your help.

I had problems with that one...it should work, but my old .pst file made Thunderbird choke (had been used from Office 97 and onwards and about 2 gigs in size). In the end I had to use a somewhat more convoluted approach to migrate my mails.

*Keep a Windows install with Outlook configured.
*Transfer the mails into a server with imap functionality (install one if necessary)
*Set up evolution or kmail to use that server and import the mails (import not necessary if you intend to continue to use the imap server).

It worked, but took quite a while.

Koffice is not stable enough for me, so I stick with OpenOffice at least for now. OpenOffice 3.0 can read (but not write) Office2007 documents. I'm not sure if the ones that packaged OpenOffice for OpenSUSE did something special to make that work, but I haven't had any problems reading such files with it.

OpenSUSE 11.4, 64-bit with KDE 4.6.4
