After latest Kernel update (to 2.6.27-12) I can't shutdown or restart my computer from
any of KDE GUI options.
But I can shut it down from LXDE.
Here are screenshots to illustrate the problem:

I should also add that I manually added the new kernel to GRUB even though I don't know if that has to do anything with it.

Are you using KDM for logging in?

Yes, but by installing LXDE Kubuntu repos demanded to install GDM to.
So that might be a problem. And I do think that my rc.conf has both of them in daemons to start...
After checking I'm staring to think that kubuntu dosen't have that like Arch has...
I know that when I shutdown they are both listed KDM and GDM.
But I have no idea how to change it in Kubuntu. Ironically I know exactly what to do in Arch (which I played with long time ago...)
