kdm needs restart to work

simh Registered Member Posts 33 Karma 0	kdm needs restart to work Sat Apr 04, 2009 8:39 am I got a problem, when I turn on my PC kdm doesn't show its login screen. I have to login to console as root and restart kdm, which of course is very annoying. Then when I want to turn of my PC, I have to shutdown it from KDE, but that just brings me back to my console, where I have to halt it manually as root again. Which is even more annoying Any ideas? I think that kdmrc is configured OK, especially since "/etc/init.d/kdm restart" does the trick.
