Yakuake has this recurring problem with its settings, I have to reconfigure them each time I reboot the computer. Now and then the settings are preserved, but as soon as I update KDE, the problem starts again, and lasts for several subsequent updates, until it's fixed again, just to be broken a couple of updates later...
I love yakuake, I really do, but what the hell is wrong here? am I doing something wrong? |

Are you on ext4? Does nothing else of KDE get corrupted? Might your yakuakerc be a link to another partition?

I used ext3 and always shut properly down the computer... |

Try removing Yakuake's configuration file:
KDE Sysadmin

Thanks, but that didn't help... |

Sorry for upping, but i had the same problem with Yakuake not remembering profile settings.
Solved it through saving the desired settings in the default profile of Konsole. Apparently, on startup Yakuake loads it's settings from the default profile of Konsole. ~/.kde4/share/config/yakuakerc pointed me to this observation. p.s. Yakuake 2.9.6. on KDE 4.3.1 |

Easy.
1. Configure your KONSOLE apps 2. Setup a profile from KONSOLE apps 3. Open YAKUAKE CU! |
