If I open a document in Open Office it's doesn't shown on the recent documents list.
I tried it with Lancelot, and my standard suse menu. No one works. |

As far as I think, the recent documents list only works with KDE applications. OpenOffice is not part of the KDE project.
It should work with KOffice, but the KDE4 version isn't stable.
Murphy's Law is recursive. Washing your car to make it rain doesn't work.
