Where is qt-copy?

Thu Sep 17, 2009 5:58 pm
Sorry, I hope this is the right forum for this topic.

If one wants to compile kde with kdesvn-build, how can he compile the kde copy of qt, too? I see that the latest qt version in svn is the old 4.4. What must I write in kdesvn-buildrs in order to install the version 4.5 (or later...)?

The default kdesvn-buildrc should be fine. qt-copy should be built from trunk (as far as I know). http://websvn.kde.org/trunk/qt-copy/

If you are building from the 4.3 branch then using what qt-copy is using is fine. It is also possible to uses your distributions KDE. Note that since qt-copy moved to Git now, you need to get kdesvn-build from KDE SVN.

Code: Select all
svn co svn://anonsvn.kde.org/home/kde/trunk/KDE/kdesdk/scripts/

Thanks.
I'm not using my distributions' packages since I want a customized kde install.
Now I'm using kde-qt copy from git. Is it good?

Yes, I believe the 4.5.2-patched branch is the one you wish to use, and is what is currently recommended. The below command will check it out if you are not already using it.

Find out with "git status"

Code: Select all
git checkout --track -b 4.5.2-patched origin/4.5.2-patched
