Hi,
I'm trying to control gnome-mplayer with a remote control using KDElirc (KDE4.3 openSuse 11). gnome-mplayer exposes a DBus interface: http://code.google.com/p/gnome-mplayer/source/browse/trunk/DOCS/tech/dbus.txt It's possible for example to play a movie with:
My problem is that irkick doesn't display "com.gnome.mplayer" in the list of running applications. I've tried to hack the irckick config file (~/.kde4/share/config/irkickrc) by adding:
but irkick crashes when I'm using it. What am I doing wrong? Thanks, Serge |

irKick uses a standard interface provided by KDE applications via D-Bus ( /MainApplication ) to gather information to build its list of running applications.
It may also use this when sending the message to the application. Its unavailability is probably not expected therefore causing the crash.
