Hi !

I am using KDE 4.3 with Kubuntu 9.10 on a laptop.

And I have a few problems with the powersaving module.

First, on bootup, I can see that the profil selected is performance. But if I check cpu frequency, it is on dynamic performance (going down to 800Mhz and sometimes getting higher). I have to choose any profile and then come back to performance to get a stable cpu frequency.

Next, If I go in the configuration module (don't know how it's called in english, but it's where you can edit and manage the profile, what to do when the lid is closed,...) and make a change, when I click ok the window doesn't close. I have to kill it. However if I come back to this window, the changes have been taken into account.

Thanks

Can you please check that Powerdevil is functional in System Settings > Advanced > KDE Services?

Yes : Powerdevil is checked and shown as running. I have stopped it and clicked on start. And it loaded performance profile and works as expected. So the question is : why doesn't it work on startup ?
