ksystraycmd --ownicon

Fri Jan 22, 2010 7:20 am
I'm trying to use ksystraycmd to run an application and have it show up in my system tray with my own icon. Based on the output of
Code: Select all
ksystraycmd --help
, I should be able to do it. I can't seem to get it to work. If I use the
Code: Select all
--ownicon
and
Code: Select all
--icon <icon>
options, then the only icon that shows in the system tray is the unknown icon (/usr/share/icons/crystalsvg/32x32/mimetypes/unknown.png?). Without the options, it just uses the icon chosen by the application.

Other than the icon, ksystraycmd works perfectly.

Does anyone know how to properly use this?

Here's my command line:
Code: Select all
ksystraycmd --ownicon --icon /home/ghodmode/pictures/gmail_logo_stylized.png /opt/google/chrome/google-chrome --app="https://www.gmail.com"

I've also tried:
using an image in the current directory without a full path
using different image formats and sizes
using icon images from the regular icon themes directories, both with and without absolute path information

Thank you.
