Before I upgraded to KDE 4.4 I could, when I had "Automatic square brackets" (roughly translated from Dutch) enabled, put parentheses automatically by selecting a piece of text and then typing a '('. This doesn't seem to work anymore. Does anyone know if it's still there?

If the setting is still present and toggling it has no effect, please file a regression bug report at bugs.kde.org.
