In Konqueror I'm entering "ftp://username@domainname.com." I'm being asked for the password for that specific user. I plug in the password and I get the following error:

"Server replied:
530 Login authentication failed"

I can connect to the FTP site using Filezilla, but not Konqueror. Is there something in Konqueror that needs to be configured/toggled on?

Does your password have any special characters ( ie. outside of 0-9, A-Z and spaces ) in it which might cause KIO problems?

No. Seven lower case letters.

Try to put also the password in the URL: ftp://username:password@domainname.com

Thanks, Pino. I just did this in LinuxMint and got the same error. I'll tryon my PCLiuxOS system this evening. However, both systems have been displaying the same error.
