When I receive an incoming message notification when the Kopete chat window is not active, a KDE notification pops up for a split second, not long enough to actually read the message. Is there a way to adjust the length of the message displayed?

Is it disappearing because I have both a notification being sent for incoming message in active chat and incoming message? The former is just to play a sound though rather than show a popup.

It isn't related, it is caused by Plasma being too slow to show the message. In some cases the notification will persist, so just clicking on the notification area icon should show it again ( this is how Quassel behaves... )

That's unfortunate. Once the message disappears there's no way to retrieve it by clicking the notification area, so it doesn't seem to be behaving exactly like Quassel in this respect.
