Does Kate provide a bracket matching feature as gedit or codeblocks editor do ? Bracket matching means the following : selecting the left parenthesis causes the editor to hightlight automatically the corresponding right parenthesis.

It seems to: Kate > Settings > Configure Kate > Editor Component > Appearance > Highlight range between selected brackets.

Thanks for your response. In fact the matching feature was working right , I didn't realize it for the default highlighting being so faint
