Hi everyone
I began searching the forums....got completely lost with information so excuse this question if it's been asked many times before. I've just installed Kubuntu 9.10. It's amazing! Could someone please suggest the best program to use to backup the OS and data together. I've used Ghost 15 recently and that backs up the OS on the fly in Windows 7...amazing. I've been using Clonezilla but it's a bit of a pain having to exit Linux to do this. Like my mate once said if you have to manually backup then you often don't end up doing it often enough...............it needs to be automated chugging in the background. Is there some kind of Time Machine thing out yet for Kubuntu that backs up the os and data whilst Kubuntu is running? Have to say it again, Kubuntu is really something now. Who needs Windows 7 or OS X. Thanks for your advice. |

Hi,
I'm using LuckyBackup, that is mostly a synchronizing tool. It works flawlessly, backing up my photos, videos, local user, to external media and server. Please note that this doesn't make backup after backup, like backup_date1, backup_date2, and so on. |
