Am I the only one who cannot sort a list view by clicking on a column's name?
For example, in Akregator I can't sort the feeds by date. |

Sorting by date in Akregator works here. Have you tried under a new user?

Yes, and I can't sort any list (in Dolphin, Akregator etc.) by clicking on the columns' names.

Please ensure that all packages ( especially Qt and kdelibs have their latest available versions installed ) and no installation conflicts exist.
Also, please try running "kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental"

I can confirm this behavior. I have some additional information:
- Using my notebook touchpad all works fine - My troubling mouse is a A4 Tech, which send the following three xevent for each click: buttonpress motionnotify buttonrelease ( the touchpad only send buttonpress and buttonrelease ) - Sorting the quassel channel list woks fine with both, my touchpad and mouse. Best regards Carlos F. |

kbuildsycoca4 --noincremental did not fix it.
I too use an A4 Tech mouse (x7 series) |

The motionnotify event is likely triggering the Qt DnD ( Drag and Drop ) handler, which is the expected behaviour for ButtonPress -> Movement -> Release. kdelibs classes likely provide some basic handling with regards to this ( or Quassel ignores DnD events ), hence the reason for Quassel not being affected.
Please file a bug with your distribution as the mouse driver should not be sending that event when simply clicking on an item.
