Kate's code folding repositions entire source file

When I click on a folding mark, Kate seems to reposition the entire source file. I want everything to stay right where it is --- just expand the code and move everything down from there.

For example, if Kate's window can display 50 lines at a time, and the code folding mark happens to be on line 10, and I click it, Kate will move that line to 46. I want the file to stay positioned, in Kate's window, right at line 10. I don't want to have to scroll up and down to find the lines that just were expanded. Kate seems to scroll the page down so the code I just expanded is not visible. Sames happens when I collapse code.

If I take that same folding mark, that I just expanded or collapsed, and Kate has moved to the bottom of its window, and click it again, Kate doesn't move it again. Kate seems to like code folding ONLY at the bottom of its window.

How do I instruct Kate to not move the entire source code file when expanding and collapsing?

I thought it might be: Settings -> Editing -> Cursor & Selection -> Autocenter cursor (lines). But I have that disabled. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

I should have mentioned this was a bash script using the bash highlighting file, but it seems to happen with other languages too. I opened a python script, collapsed a section, and the entire file scrolled down and didn't maintain positioning.
