Hello, all. We have a client converting from Windows. They are used to selecting files in Windows Explorer and printing them from there without opening each file first. I have not seen a way to do this in Konqueror in KDE 3.5. Is there a way that I'm just missing? Thanks - John

Whilst Konqueror itself doesn't support it directly, you may wish to look into Service Menus for the types of files they regularly print to replicate this feature ( it will still be in the right click context menu ).

Thank you but I'm not sure I follow (probably my ignorance). If I select several files of the same type and right click, I have the option to open them in an application or to perform some action such as compress or download but no option to print. Opening them means printing them one at a time from an application which is orders or magnitude slower than just clicking and saying print these ten PDF files. What did I miss? Thanks - John

Assuming you are using OpenOffice, then this will probably be what you need to install: http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Pr ... tent=39748
Note that it is for KDE 3. If you need one for KDE, simply make a copy to another file name, and change the needed lines in the file.

That worked very nicely. We actually needed it for PDF files but it was quite easy to adapt to call kprinter and pass it the pdf files directly. I was a little leery of downloading from a site with so many questionable ads. I hope it was safe!
