I have several users one for every distro or test install) on a separate /home partition.
I would like to put the files in the various "document" folder into one "document" folder on /home. How do I point my various kate's to that folder instead of the default /home/username/documents. Greets Fintan |

Open System Settings. Search for "Paths". It is located in Personal Details in KDE 4.5 and later. In that module change "Documents" to point to the new location. Please be aware that KDE *will* attempt to move your files from the current Documents directory to the new one.

Thank you for the pointer.
Unfortunately resources only showed kontact, kalendar, notes. I found it under user account details (or similar, mine is german) and edited the paths->Documents accordingly |
