I have just downloaded OpenSuse and with Gnome the wireless works ok.when i changed to KDE i could not get any wireless connection at all.

Hmmm.

You've made a statement, but asked no question, although one is implied. We know only that you are running OpenSuse (but not what version) and that you use Gnome and KDE as Desktop Environments (but again, not what versions). We know that wireless works in Gnome but not in KDE (but again, you haven't told us anything about your wireless controller or anything else about your hardware for that matter).

Care to rephrase your 'statement' and provide us with some usable information?
